This rainfly attaches to the cot tent, not to the cot. It is made for the Mount River Neo Nest 80 Air cot tent and for cot tents with the same frame structure and attachment method. Tents and cots from other makers may not fit even at identical dimensions, depending on frame structure. The tent comes with its own roof cover for light rain; this rainfly is the full layer for sustained or wind-driven rain, covering the whole tent and adding a vestibule. The tent, the Wide Cot 80 cot, the door poles and the furniture shown in staged photos are sold separately.

Questions about this rainfly

Will this fit the Natural version of the tent?

No. This rainfly is sized for the Mount River Neo Nest 80 Air cot tent, and the Natural version uses its own rainfly. It also suits cot tents with the same frame structure and attachment method, but tents from other makers may not fit even at identical dimensions, depending on frame design.

How much rain will it hold off?

The 20D nylon ripstop is silicone coated and rated at 3,000 mm hydrostatic head, which is a fabric rating rather than a storm rating. Stake out all four aluminum pegs and every guyline before you leave it, and take the fly down promptly if prolonged or wind-driven rain sets in, since water can still get through.

There is water on the inside of the fly — is it leaking?

That is normally condensation, which forms under any fly in cool, damp conditions and is not a waterproofing failure. Ventilate and open the tent doors and windows to reduce it.

What comes in the box, and do I need anything else?

You get the rainfly, 4 aluminum pegs and a peg pouch. Guylines with tensioners and the interior anti-slip Velcro tabs that wrap the inner tent frame are already fitted, and the two clear TPU roof windows show you where the fly lines up over the tent. The Neo Nest 80 Air cot tent, the Wide Cot 80 cot and the Rainfly Door Pole Set are sold separately — you need the door poles to stand the door panel up as a canopy.

The Air tent's 3,000 mm coated body shrugs off a shower, but for sustained rain this full-coverage fly is the piece I'd pack — it takes the weather instead of the tent body. It pitches over the tent as a dome, leaves a sheltered strip for gear, and the two TPU roof windows keep the sky in view; the 20D silicone-coated ripstop matches the tent's own fabric class. The door pole set (sold separately) turns the entrance into a small canopy.
