WHAT IT DOES

Three problems the liner solves.

Water beads forming on synthetic tent roof at dawn

Stops the dawn drip.

Cotton fibres in the T/C blend absorb interior humidity slowly — instead of moisture pooling on the cold synthetic ceiling and dripping by sunrise, the liner buffers it.

T/C fabric macro showing 65% polyester 35% cotton weave

T/C blend at 210 g/m².

65 % polyester + 35 % cotton at 210 g/m² (6.2 oz/yd²). Cotton handles humidity, polyester adds tear resistance and shape stability.

Strap hook attaching liner to internal frame bracket

Hooks under the ceiling.

Adjustable strap hooks attach to the frame brackets on the T-250 shelter or vestibule — no tools, takes about five minutes to install.

WHY T/C INSTEAD OF SYNTHETIC

What cotton adds to a polyester tent.

HUMIDITY HANDLING

Cotton buffers humidity.

Pure synthetic fabrics shed water but cannot absorb it — vapor condenses on the cold inner side. Cotton in the T/C blend holds humidity then releases it slowly as the air warms.

THERMAL BUFFER

Thin air pocket adds warmth.

The fabric layer between you and the air-shelter ceiling traps a thin pocket of still air — meaningful insulation when overnight temperatures drop near freezing.

LIGHT CONTROL

Doubles as a blackout layer.

Stacked under the primary roof fly, the liner creates a second light-blocking layer. Mornings stay darker, afternoon naps stay possible.

Compatibility

  • Kazmi AON T-250 Air Shelter Hooks onto the interior frame brackets of the T-250 Air Shelter. Uses the short strap configuration shown in the install guide.
  • Kazmi AON T-250 Vestibule Hooks onto the interior frame brackets of the T-250 Vestibule. Uses the long strap configuration to span the wider vestibule ceiling.

The liner installs inside the ceiling — does not affect the roof fly above. Does not fit Albion-series products or other Kazmi shelters.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions, answered.

What does the liner actually do?

It hangs under the inner ceiling of the T-250 Air Shelter or Vestibule and buffers humidity. Cotton fibres absorb interior moisture overnight, reducing the condensation drip that synthetic-only roofs produce at dawn.

Does it work on the shelter, the vestibule, or both?

Both — the Kazmi AON T-250 Air Shelter (K251T3T28) and the Kazmi AON T-250 Vestibule (K251T3T30). The strap-hook system has short and long configurations for each module.

Is the 350 mm hydrostatic head enough to keep rain out?

On its own, no — that is a liner-grade rating. The T-250 roof fly above is rated to 5,000 mm and handles the weather. The liner sits underneath as a humidity and light buffer, not a weather layer.

Is the cotton in the blend going to mildew?

Air-dry the liner fully before packing it away — never store damp. Cotton in a 65/35 T/C blend resists mildew well at low humidity, but trapped moisture in long storage is the one thing that causes problems.

How long does installation take?

About five minutes once you know the routine. Adjust strap length (short for shelter brackets, long for vestibule), clip the hooks, work across the panel. Removing for travel is faster.

Will the cotton blend smell new at first?

Vendor discloses that cotton blends can have a faint initial scent and a small amount of colour-bleed in the first wash. Both fade with use — air the liner before the first trip.

Where is it made, and what's the warranty?

Made in China by KZM Korea. BigTent imports directly and covers a 1-year manufacturer warranty for material and workmanship defects.

FROM THE CURATOR

Why we carry it.

BIGTENT ·Coquitlam, BC

"Condensation is the unsexy reason camping mornings ruin sleep. The roof feels damp, the bag feels damp, and by the time anyone is awake there's water down the sides of the tent. T/C blends solve this — cotton handles humidity that pure synthetics can't. The T-250 shelter is otherwise excellent overhead, so adding a $200 liner is the smallest spend on the setup that delivers the most overnight comfort. The fact that the same liner works in the vestibule, not just the shelter, is the bonus."
