THE ALBION
KZM's AON line, engineered in Korea
Family-size air tents have a tradeoff. Air-beams pitch fast, but they sway in wind and depend on a separate inflator. Pole tents stand firm, but four people and forty minutes can disappear before the rainfly goes on.
The Albion takes the air-beam path and braces it. A one-piece TPU air channel inflates from a single port — air distributes through the connected system without per-tube pumping. A pair of aluminum side ridge poles, Ø 14.5 mm each, braces the structure for self-standing in moderate wind. A pump is built into the tent itself — press the button twice and a pressure sensor stops the motor at 8 PSI. Fifteen minutes from bag to bedded down, give or take.
At 30 kilograms across two carry bags, the Albion lands roughly 57 percent lighter than a typical 4-5 person cotton-blend tent of similar volume. The body fabric holds a 3,000 mm hydrostatic head; the roof fly is rated 5,000 mm with a blackout coating that holds rain and morning sun in equal measure. The 360 × 230 cm inner tent fits two double mats and one twin mat without overlap. A full-mesh window cycles air without inviting insects. YKK zippers throughout.
Sleeping pads, inner rug mats, a Smog TPU front panel, and an external auxiliary pump all attach to the same valve and zipper standard.
WHAT THE ALBION DOES
Press the AIRON button. The integrated pump fills to 8 PSI and stops on its own — no foot pump, no compressor cord.
TPU air tubes for fast setup. Aluminum side ridge poles for self-standing stability — even when the wind picks up.
360 × 230 cm inner sleeping area. Two double mats and one twin mat fit without overlap. ZEROLUX blackout fabric keeps mornings dim.
Roughly 40 kg lighter than typical cotton-blend tents of the same footprint. Main body bag 18.5 kg; parts bag 11.5 kg.
THE FIFTEEN-MINUTE PITCH
STEP 1 OF 11
Lay the tent flat, line up the door direction, and drive the four corner pegs. The body footprint is 6 m × 4 m.
STEP 2 OF 11
Unzip the side door before you begin.
STEP 3 OF 11
Before inflating, confirm the Safe-Lock air valves on both sides of the central air-beam are shut.
STEP 4 OF 11
Inflation only works with the lock buttons in the up position — set them before setup.
STEP 5 OF 11
Fit a correctly sized nozzle to the center port on the left or right side, whichever you prefer.
STEP 6 OF 11
Target pressure is 8 PSI (0.55 bar); adjust for the season. Keep the air tubes from kinking — a bent tube can damage the beam or strain a zipper.
STEP 7 OF 11
At about 70–80% inflation, raise the air-beams from inside, then top off to full pressure. Disconnect the pump when done.
STEP 8 OF 11
Tidy the front and rear central air-beams and fabric, then fasten the Velcro.
STEP 9 OF 11
Slide each side ridge pole fully into its sleeve, then seat the tips into the front and rear webbing eyelets to lock them.
STEP 10 OF 11
Pull the skin taut at both front and rear ends and peg it down through the loop webbing.
STEP 11 OF 11
That's the full pitch — typically 10 to 15 minutes.
WHY THIS, NOT THAT
Where the Albion fits among 4-5 person family tents.
Fast to pitch, but stability and pump dependencies remain.
Stable and warm, but slow setup and heavy pack.
Air-tent speed, ridge-pole stability, TPU efficiency.

Compatibility
Built-in AIRON pump runs on its own battery. External pump (K25T3M01) is an optional backup for groups using multiple inflatables or when the built-in battery runs out.
For the spec-minded buyer.
Things to know before buying.
A 4-5 person tent at 600 × 400 cm footprint with 230 cm ceiling. Two double mats and one twin mat fit the inner tent without overlap.
Built-in AIRON pump with pressure sensor brings the air-beam to 8 PSI in two to three minutes. Ridge poles and guy ropes add roughly ten minutes more.
Two aluminum side ridge poles brace the tunnel structure. Pre-attached guy ropes drop into place on both flanks for additional anchoring.
Total weight is 30 kg across two carry bags. The Albion is built for car camping or vehicle-staged base camps — not for trail use.
Target pressure is 8 PSI. Inflating past this damages the air-beam — the AIRON pump auto-stops to prevent this. Do not override with a higher-pressure pump.
Ships ground freight in two cartons. The built-in lithium battery and bulk weight rule out air shipping. Expect 5-10 business days within North America.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Roughly 10 to 15 minutes total. The integrated AIRON pump brings the air-beam to 8 PSI in two to three minutes — the rest is staking corners, slotting ridge poles, and setting guy lines.
Because of size and weight. The main tent body (18.5 kg) ships in one carton; the inner tent, roof, ground sheet, poles, pegs, ropes, hand pump, and battery ship in a second carton. Check both arrive together before pitching.
A backup hand pump with four nozzles ships in the box. It is slower than the AIRON pump but gets the tent to pressure without electricity. The battery itself recharges over USB-C in about 3.5 hours.
No. The Albion has a pump built into the tent. The Kazmi AON Cordless Electric Air Pump (K25T3M01) is an optional secondary unit — useful if you also inflate sleeping pads, SUPs, or other gear, or want a faster swap on group trips.
The body fabric is rated 3,000 mm hydrostatic head and the roof fly 5,000 mm — well above the 1,500 mm threshold for steady rain. The inner floor is 2,000 mm; the ground sheet adds another 1,500 mm. YKK zippers and silicone-coated taffeta handle wet conditions across multiple seasons.
Two aluminum side ridge poles brace the tunnel structure for self-standing in moderate wind. Pre-attached guy ropes on both flanks add anchoring. For sustained high winds, stake all 16 guy lines and orient the narrow end into the wind.
A standard 5 V USB-C charger at 10 W or less. Fast chargers rated 9 V or 12 V will damage the battery. The cable is included; the wall adapter is not.
The 2,500 mAh built-in battery is well under the 100 Wh IATA carry-on threshold. Always confirm with your carrier — the battery must travel in your carry-on, not checked. Note that the tent itself is too large for air travel and ships ground only.
BigTent offers a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Damage from over-pressurization, fast chargers, or improper storage of the battery is not covered.
FROM THE CURATOR
"Most air tents force a choice — easy pitch or wind stability. The Albion takes the air-beam route and then adds aluminum side ridge poles to hold it firm. A built-in pump means we stopped recommending separate inflators as a default purchase. At 30 kg packed against typical 60-80 kg cotton-blend tents of the same volume, it earned the anchor spot in KZM's AON line — and ours."
