Warm sleep is decided underneath you
Cold ground, or the air under a cot, pulls heat out of you. A foil insulation layer inside 10 cm / 3.9 in of air holds it in: R-value 5.0 (ASTM F3340-22).

Cold ground, or the air moving under a camp cot, pulls heat out of you faster than a thicker blanket can put it back. The insulation has to be under you. The Sky Mat Wave 77 builds a foil insulation layer into 10 cm / 3.9 in of air for an R-value of 5.0, at 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb.
Width is the other half of sleeping well. At 197 × 77 cm (77.6 × 30.3 in), your shoulders and elbows stay on the pad when you turn over, and the wave cells sit lower in the centre so your back settles in. The pillow is already built into the head end, with a recessed cradle, so nothing extra goes in the pack.
It rolls into a 27 × 10 × 13 cm (10.6 × 3.9 × 5.1 in) stuff sack that doubles as the pump, and velcro on both long sides joins a second pad into one bed. Use it on a tent floor, in a vehicle, or on the Mount River Wide Cot 80, sold separately.

Cold ground, or the air under a cot, pulls heat out of you. A foil insulation layer inside 10 cm / 3.9 in of air holds it in: R-value 5.0 (ASTM F3340-22).
The sleeping surface is 197 × 77 cm (77.6 × 30.3 in), wide enough to keep shoulders and elbows on the pad when you turn. It weighs 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb.
Transverse wave air cells sit lower in the centre and higher at the sides. Your back settles in, and your arms rest beside you.
An inflatable pillow with a recessed head cradle is built into the head end. One less thing to pack, and nothing to slide away at night.
Extend the sack liner, connect it to the valve, fill it with air and fold it down. Repeat until firm, then close the cap valve. No pump to carry.
Velcro strips run the full length of both sides, so two mats press together into one surface instead of drifting apart overnight. Second mat and cots sold separately.
Velcro on both long sides
Velcro strips run the full length of both sides, so two or more mats press together into a single sleeping surface instead of drifting apart overnight. Each mat keeps its own 77 cm / 30.3 in width, pillow and valve. A second Sky Mat Wave 77 and the Mount River Wide Cot 80 are sold separately.

What to expect
An insulated air pad for cots, tents and vehicles
197 × 77 × 10 cm (77.6 × 30.3 × 3.9 in), R-value 5.0, 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb, with the pillow built in. Sized to the Wide Cot 80 and equally at home on a tent floor.
Not for high-pressure pumps
Maximum pressure is 0.7 PSI. A high-output electric pump can over-inflate and damage the pad, and that damage is not covered. Fill with the stuff sack, or in short bursts, to about 85 percent.
Firm, not rock hard
Stop when slight wrinkles remain around the logo. The two-stage valve lets a little air out to fine-tune without opening the main cap.
Made for the Wide Cot 80, fits a tent floor too
At 77 cm / 30.3 in wide it covers the Wide Cot 80 nearly edge to edge, and the cot's seat band holds it in place. Second pad and cot sold separately; third-party cots may fit differently.
The mat is 197 × 77 cm (77.6 × 30.3 in) and is sized to sit on the Mount River Wide Cot 80 and on cots with the same frame structure and dimensions. Third-party cots may not fit even at identical stated dimensions, depending on frame design. The mat also works on a tent floor or inside a vehicle.
No. The included stuff sack doubles as a pump sack: extend the liner, connect it to the inflation valve, fill it with air and fold it down, repeating until the mat is firm. Then close the cap valve. Inflate to about 85% of full, until slight wrinkles remain around the logo.
Use caution. Maximum air pressure is approx. 0.7 PSI (0.05 bar / 4.8 kPa), and a high-output electric pump can over-inflate and damage the mat. Inflate in short bursts and finish by hand or with the pump sack. Damage from over-inflation is not covered by exchange or return.
R-value is a measured figure for how much the mat's construction resists heat loss to the surface below, and this mat measures 5.0 (RSI 0.874 K·m²/W). It comes from an aluminium foil insulation layer rather than loft fill. It is a construction test figure, not a temperature rating, so pair it with a sleeping bag or quilt chosen for your own conditions.
Do not lay it directly on bare or uneven ground such as gravel or crushed stone, and keep sharp objects and metal clothing hardware away from the surface. If you use an electric heating pad, put a cloth between the pad and the mat to protect the aluminium insulation. Store the mat unfolded or loosely rolled, and clear grass and sand out of the velcro strips.
The number to respect here is 0.7 PSI: this mat wants a gentle fill, so stop pumping at flat-firm — and if your electric pump has a target setting, set it low rather than borrowing the 4.5 PSI habit from the Air tent. I like the built-in pillow cradle more than I expected to, since it's one less thing in the pack, and the velcro edges genuinely hold two mats together as one bed. At 77 cm / 30.3 in wide it covers the Wide Cot 80 nearly edge to edge.
