Strap the Neo Nest 80 onto an 80 cm / 31.5 in camp cot and you sleep above the mud, the bugs and the cold ground, in a room cut to the cot's exact width. Mesh runs up both walls and across the ceiling, so lying down you see trees and sky, not fabric. Sit up and there is still air above your head: the walls flare outward, and the interior stands 105 cm / 41.3 in tall over a 200 × 80 cm (78.7 × 31.5 in) floor.
The body is TC poly-cotton. It breathes and softens the light, so the tent feels calm inside on a warm night and less prone to dripping condensation on a cool one. The roof cover comes in the box: buckle it on to keep sap, leaves and debris off the mesh, and its clear TPU panels keep the view.
Five aluminum poles sit outside the fabric and clip on, so the same tent goes up on the ground when you leave the cot at home. Rain is the one thing to plan for: the TC body carries no water-repellent finish, so add the Natural rainfly (sold separately) when wet weather is in the forecast.
BUILT AROUND THE COT
Mesh runs from the walls into the ceiling, with two zippered ceiling windows and mesh doors at both ends. Lie down and you see trees and sky, not fabric.
The walls flare outward past vertical, so the room stays wide at shoulder height. Interior height is 105 cm / 41.3 in over a 200 × 80 cm floor.
Four floor-corner pockets and two fixing straps lock the floor onto an 80 cm / 31.5 in cot. The cot width is the room width, with no spare floor to fight.
Buckle the included TC roof cover over the mesh to keep sap, leaves and debris off. Its clear TPU panels keep the view. For rain, add the rainfly.
TC cotton-poly fabric breathes and softens the light inside, which helps reduce condensation on cool nights. The floor is 150D Oxford with a 5,000 mm PU coating.
The same tent pitches freestanding on the ground with the eight aluminum pegs in the box. Same poles, same order, no cot required.
Fabric panels lower over the oval side windows and zip shut. Open the tent to the woods by day, and close it up at night.
A lantern hook, a multi-purpose loop, a mesh pocket and a roof storage loft come built in. A cable entry door and two-pull zippers cover the rest.
Inside
Each door rolls back and toggles open, so one end can breathe while the other stays closed. A mesh pocket sits on the end wall beside the cot, a lantern hook and a loop hang from the ridge, and the roof loft keeps small things off the floor.
SEVEN STEPS
Seat the four floor corners on the cot, run the two fixing straps, then slide in the side poles and the front and rear poles. The ridge pole goes on last, and hook-and-loop tabs secure the crossings. Every pole sits outside the fabric, so the order is the same when you pitch on the ground.
NATURAL OR AIR
The same cot-top footprint and mesh panorama — a different frame, fabric and headroom on each.

Stands in about 20 pump strokes
Both pitch on an 80 cm / 31.5 in camp cot or freestanding on the ground, and both come with their roof cover. Cot, rainfly and door poles are sold separately.

What to expect
One person, on the cot or on the ground
Mounts on an 80 cm / 31.5 in camp cot, or pitches freestanding with the eight pegs in the box. Interior 200 × 80 × 105 cm (78.7 × 31.5 × 41.3 in): one sleeper, with room to sit up.
Not a rain shell until the rainfly goes on
The TC body has no water-repellent finish, and the included roof cover keeps debris off rather than rain out. When rain is forecast, pitch the Natural rainfly (sold separately). The 5,000 mm rating applies to the floor only.
Five poles, clip and buckle
Front/rear poles ×2, side poles ×2 and one ridge pole, all aluminum, sit outside the fabric and attach with clips and buckles. Corners on the cot first, ridge pole last.
Built for the Wide Cot 80
Compatible with the Mount River Wide Cot 80 and cots with the same frame structure and attachment method. Third-party cots may not fit even at identical dimensions. Cot, rainfly and door poles are sold separately.
It is built for the Mount River Wide Cot 80 and for cots with the same frame structure and attachment method, at 80 cm / 31.5 in wide. The four floor-corner pockets and two fixing straps depend on how the frame is built, so a third-party cot may not fit even at identical dimensions. If yours is not a match, the tent still pitches on the ground.
Yes. The same tent pitches freestanding on the ground with the eight aluminum pegs in the box, using the same five poles in the same order. Pitch on flat, firm ground, and take it down when strong wind, heavy rain or snow is expected.
The Natural rainfly, sold separately. The TC body has no water-repellent finish, and the included roof cover is a debris and shade layer with no waterproof rating, so it does not replace the rainfly. The floor is a different fabric, 150D Oxford polyester rated 5,000 mm. The rainfly door poles are also a separate set.
Yes, the roof cover is included. The box holds the tent body, the TC roof cover with clear TPU panels, front/rear poles ×2, side poles ×2, a ridge pole, a pole pouch, eight aluminum pegs with a pouch, two fixing straps and a storage bag. The cot, rainfly and rainfly door poles are sold separately.
Yes. Interior height is 105 cm / 41.3 in over a 200 × 80 cm (78.7 × 31.5 in) floor, and the walls flare outward instead of tapering, so the space at shoulder height stays usable when you sit up. At 80 cm / 31.5 in wide it is a one-person space.
TC poly-cotton breathes, which helps reduce condensation, but moisture can still form inside depending on temperature, humidity and site. Open the doors, ceiling windows or corner vents to air it out. Let the fabric dry completely before you pack it, and store it loosely in a ventilated place.
If you already sleep on an 80 cm / 31.5 in cot, this is the straightforward way to put a room on top of it: the cot width is the interior width, and the five poles clip on from the outside instead of threading through sleeves. What I like most is lying down and seeing mesh and sky instead of fabric, with the roof cover in the bag for when the trees start dropping on it. Plan for one thing before you order: the TC body is untreated, so the rainfly is a separate purchase if you expect wet weather. Pack it away dry and the poly-cotton stays in good shape.
